The huge success of Camartina, along with other Super Tuscans, forced a change to the appellation and blending rules in Tuscany. Camartina continues to be the flagship wine of Querciabella, and it is only made in the best vintages in very small quantities. Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape in the blend due to its highly successful adaptation to the soils of the estate's vineyards.
