Stefano Perrone has been one of the top three Moscato producers in Piedmont every year for a couple decades now. His Clarte bottling from 75yr old Moscato vines is always in the running for the best wine of the vintage. Yet this beguiling blend of Moscato and Piedmont's native red grape, Brachetto, has always been our favorite wine for its absolute drinkability. This is a semi-sweet wine whose undeniable slightly bubbly (frizzante) character demands you never put the glass down. Rare Wine Co's website describes this wine as 'ambrosial with melon and prosciutto' and we can assure you it is divine with fresh strawberries and cream. Most of the sites farmed at the estate are North-facing, which is likely the reason the wines are always fresh as can be with precise aromatics.
