With winemaking having been passed down from father to son for over 400 years through 12 generations in the Humbrecht family, and in the Zind family over a century, Zind-Humbrecht has achieved superstardom in Alsace. Both families were responsible for the original cultivation of separate Grand Cru vineyards in Alsace, and a marriage brought the families and their vineyards together. The estate was created in 1959, twelve years before being reclaimed by France from Germany after WWII. With four Grand Crus and over 40 ha throughout the region, we get to see an incredible selection of fruit expressed through their traditional winemaking style. Some of the parcels are so small they don’t even qualify as lieux-dits or fit into the Grand Cru system, despite the fact that they are still of the highest quality. Hence, some of their amazing fruit is blended into their entry level bottlings, which makes even their base wines fantastic and built to age.

After checking out, you will receive a pickup confirmation email when the order has been pulled and packed. You can pickup your wine at our shop at 2301 Portsmouth Street in Upper Kirby, Houston.
