About This Wine
This is the wine that got me in the car the next morning to visit the estate. Twenty four months in French oak, and Chris's approach of staying out of the way and letting the vineyard do the work. 24 months means MELLOW. Black cherry, cedar, tannins that have already started to soften with a few years in bottle. It's the most classic Merlot we've tasted from South Africa, and far superior to anything else I've had at this price. The 2018 vintage of this label made our own Best in Show tasting in December, so this isn't the first time it's won us over.
