Join us on Wednesday, November 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM for a seated tasting with Ricardo Perez, co-founder and winemaker of Descendientes de J. Palacios. Ricardo studied enology in Bordeaux, worked the harvest at Chateau Margaux and interned with Moueix before starting the estate in 1998 with his uncle, Alvaro Palacios. The two passed over more accessible parts of Bierzo for the steep slate hillsides around Corullon, where vines up to 100 years old are worked by hand or mule and farmed biodynamically. Ricardo will lead the group through eight wines, from the Bierzo estate to Alvaro’s work in Rioja and Priorat.
