Join us for an evening with Chris Tyrrell, fifth-generation steward of Tyrrell's Wines and one of the most thoughtful voices shaping the future of the Hunter Valley. With roots dating back to 1858, Tyrrell’s is synonymous with Australia’s most historic vineyards and benchmark expressions of Semillon, Chardonnay, and Shiraz.
Chris brings a deep respect for old vines and site expression, balancing heritage with precision to craft wines that speak clearly of place. This guided tasting will explore the breadth of Hunter Valley terroir from crystalline, age-worthy Semillon and iconic Chardonnay to the savory, medium-bodied Shiraz that defines the region.
We’ll begin the evening with a comparative tasting of the Shiraz and then move into oysters and Semillon!
