89-92 Points By Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
"(13. 4% alcohol; 100% destemmed): Healthy medium red. Wild, musky aromas of red cherry, game and underbrush convey an almost honeyed ripeness. Fat, rich and sweet; the plush, palate- saturating redcurrant and game flavors have just enough mineral lift to maintain their shape; not a particularly elegant style of Cailleret. Finishes with substantial, fully ripe tannins. This wine is actually quite low in acidity, but its limestone element gives it refreshment value. But does it have enough grip for more than mid-term aging?"
About Nicolas Rossignol
"Now comfortably ensconced in his new winery on the Beaune périphérique, Nicolas has arrived at a mature style that's much more classical than his attention-grabbing aesthetic of yesteryear. Today, as I've written before, he numbers among the Côte de Beaune's most serious producers." - William Kelley in his 2019 reviews
"Now, this is a winemaker who deserves much higher status, and perhaps that is just a matter of time. Maybe if he had a couple of Grand Crus he would gain a higher profile." - Neal Martin in 2017 reviews
