Domaine Guiberteau debuted the first vintage of its delicious Cabernet Franc based rosé last year, and we blew through our allocation immediately. We've been anxiously awaiting its return since, and just in time for Spring the 2022s have finally arrived! Just in case you're not familiar with this icon of Saumur, Domaine Guiberteau is one of the top producers of the Loire and is known for making some of the best Saumur Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc on the planet from his special plots on the famous hill of Brézé.  The estate is now run by Romain Guiberteau, and he has an exceptional winemaking background. In addition to his family's pedigree, he also trained under the great Nady Foucault (of the ultra allocated and revered Loire estate Clos Rougeard). Per legendary Burgundy importer Becky Wasserman: Romain Guiberteauowns some of the best land in Brézé, and makes dry chenins of punk rock violence, yet of Bach-like logic and profoundness."  This winemaking philosophy that made his Chenin's famous is also at work in his rosé. Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc, the fruit is sourced from some of Romain's old vines in Brézé and Montreuil-Pellay. The whole cluster berries are vinified to be a delicate pink rosé that is the perfect combination of quaffable and complex. Fans of Domaine Tempier and Chàteau Simone's textured, slightly savory rosés are sure to find a new favorite in Guiberteau's rendition. - Kelly Rau

How do I pick up my wine?

Orders are generally ready within 1-2 business days, but you can always email or call us for a status update.

Houston Orders

After checking out, you will receive a pickup confirmation email when the order has been pulled and packed. You can pickup your wine at our shop at 2301 Portsmouth Street in Upper Kirby, Houston.

San Antonio Orders

Until the new shop opens in San Antonio, we can transfer or ship wine to San Antonio. At checkout, choose Pick Up in Houston, and email us and we will transfer or ship your wine to San Antonio free of charge.
