For years, this domaine’s claim to fame was that they tended the vines and produced the wine of the infamous La Romanée Grand Cru under a métayage agreement dating back to the 1950s between the owners of La Romanée, the Liger-Belair Family, and Regis’s father, Jean Forey. In return for working and vinifying the wine, they were paid half the crop. With the arrival of Monsieur Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, the agreement was not renewed after the 2001 vintage and the vines returned to the Liger-Belair family. If you're someone who is excited by the old Bouchard La Romanée Grand Cru bottlings, this is the winemaker here. Bouchard just did the aging. The style is dense, and structured, and usually requires a few years to blossom, which is why these 2013 bottlings are so impressive.

How do I pick up my wine?

Houston Orders

After checking out, you will receive a pickup confirmation email when the order has been pulled and packed. You can pickup your wine at our shop at 2301 Portsmouth Street in Upper Kirby, Houston.

San Antonio Orders

Until the new shop opens in San Antonio, we can transfer or ship wine to San Antonio. At checkout, choose Pick Up in Houston, and email us and we will transfer or ship your wine to San Antonio free of charge.
