"(Rossignol blended his grapes from six premier crus--all of his Pommard crus except for Les Epenots--to make a mere five barrels; entirely destemmed): Bright ruby-red. Precise, vibrant aromas of black cherry and spices; a nuanced expression of Pommard slopes. Sappy, dark and primary, conveying a liqueur-like thickness to its flavors of black fruits and spices complicated by positive subtle notes of game and leather. A highly concentrated yet somehow charming Pommard from tiny yields. Rossignol told me he felt this wine was a bit cooked at the beginning, but not today."
