"From a plain, south-facing plot on Muschelkalk and vinified for 20 months in barriques and for another year in a 1,200-liter oak foudre, the 2019 Blaufränkisch Ried Golser Altenberg offers a remarkably refined, lush, intense, spicy and elegant bouquet with concentration and great finesse. Full-bodied, intense and juicy but also finessed and vibrantly salty on the palate, this is a warm yet precise and silky, very mineral and vibrantly fresh and tensioned red with ripe and crunchy tannins and highly stimulating salinity. 14% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022."
