Teularju is a small producer in the Barbagia, the mountainous interior of Sardinia, where Cannonau, the island's name for Grenache, grows on granite soils at elevation. Ghirada Ocruarana is a single named parcel. Barbagia reds are typically more structured and savory than coastal Cannonau. Expect dark fruit, herbs and a firm finish. A wine for roast meats and aged cheese.
