Podere Salicutti occupies a high ridge in Montalcino's southeastern corridor, with 4.5 hectares of vines between roughly 420 and 520 meters facing Monte Amiata. Francesco Leanza, a chemist from Rome, bought the abandoned farm in 1990, planted in 1994, and in 1996 earned Montalcino's first organic certification, the credential that put Salicutti on the map. In 2015 he sold to Sabine and Felix Eichbauer, whose family owns Tantris, the two-Michelin-star restaurant in Munich, and stayed three years to guide the handover. The Eichbauers began converting to biodynamics in 2018 and gained Demeter certification in 2022. The 2021 Brunello blends the estate's three crus, 40 percent "Sorgente" with 30 percent each of "Piaggione" and "Teatro," fermented in concrete with a 35-day maceration. It is a high-elevation Brunello with the structure to age.
