About This Wine

The Colin family is one of the premier family names in Burgundy. Pierre Yves Colin Morey is likely the most well known for many of you, but there are several other members of the extended family tree that produce exquisitely collectible wines. If the PYCM-side of the family tree focuses on flinty reduction and needlepoint precision, the Bruno Colin and Philippe Colin brothers' are larger-scaled wines with greater fruit amplitude, texture, and mid-palate density. I have tasted both sets of these 2022s, and can warmly recommend them. Our pricing is also quite nice compared to the market!

94 Points Burghound: "A notably more citrus-inflected nose reflects notes of various white fleshed fruit and spice, especially anise. There is again excellent density to the caressing but almost painfully intense mineral-driven flavors that brim with minerality on the beautifully persistence and impeccably well-balanced finale. This also needs more depth but that should only be a matter of patience, not potential."

On the 2019 Vintage

94 Points Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Cheerful light yellow with a green tint. This has a classy chiselled bouquet, making a delicious mouthful with sunny yellow fruit, much less overtly powerful than Philippe Colin's version, but very classy and charming. The difference in style may reflect the relative positions on the slope of the two plots. A hint of sweetness perhaps on the palate. Very good wine."
