The Colin family is one of the premier family names in Burgundy. Pierre Yves Colin Morey is likely the most well known for many of you, but there are several other members of the extended family tree that produce exquisitely collectible wines. If the PYCM-side of the family tree focuses on flinty reduction and needlepoint precision, the Bruno Colin and Philippe Colin brothers' are larger-scaled wines with greater fruit amplitude, texture, and mid-palate density. I have tasted both sets of these 2022s, and can warmly recommend them. Our pricing is also quite nice compared to the market!
93 Points Burghound: "Pretty and layered aromas of petrol and mineral reduction display plenty of citrus elements. There is excellent mid-palate density to the caressing and delicious middleweight flavors that exhibit a subtle bead of minerality that adds a sense of lift to the firm, balanced and youthfully austere finale. This is quite good and while it could use better depth, the requisite underlying material appears to be present. Worth checking out."
