"The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Clos St.-Jean 1er Cru has a fragrant, floral bouquet with wilted rose petals infusing the brambly red fruit. It gains more delineation as it unwinds in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a tannic entry, very marine-influenced with black olive/briny notes towards the finish. It needs a little more finesse, but I like the character of this red Chassagne-Montrachet, and it should age well in bottle."
