About This Wine
This is the Chardonnay that Lukas Van Loggerenberg named for the first harvest he worked on crutches after two knee surgeries. Devon Valley and Polkadraai fruit (two Stellenbosch subzones), whole bunch pressed, 90 percent stainless and 10 percent French oak, native yeast, eight months on lees, 12.5 percent. At this price point I am consistently so impressed by the tension over weight here, and I've been pushing this as one of the great inexpensive Chardonnays of the wold for several years now. Chablis lovers here you go. Outperforms anything in Chablis at this price.
