Domaine Gerard Mugneret's Bourgogne Rouge is grown on three parcels along the D974 beside village appellation land: Luteniere and La Croix Blanche in Vosne Romanee, and Maladieres in Chambolle Musigny. Together they cover 0.79 hectares, with vines planted in 1972, 1978 and 1991. The roughly seven hectare domaine was built by Pascal Mugneret's great-grandfather Rene and his father Gerard; Pascal left an engineering career to take charge in 2005 and has farmed biodynamically, without certification, since 2011. The family are cousins of Domaine Georges Mugneret Gibourg, among the most coveted estates in Vosne Romanee. The Bourgogne follows the same cellar method as the crus: native yeast, a share of whole clusters, minimal sulfur and 12 to 18 months in barrel with little new oak. It is the most direct introduction to a small Vosne house.
