About This Wine
Join us on April 4th at noon for a special screening of the French film Holy Cow (Vingt Dieux), a coming-of-age story set in the rural Jura that follows 18 year old Totone as he struggles to care for his younger sister and their failing family farm after the death of their father, ultimately entering a competition to make the region’s iconic Comté cheese.
Before the film, Professor Robert Watson of UTSA will introduce the Jura region through its history, culture, and food traditions, while Joshua Thomas from AOC will share a brief look at the distinctive wines of this fascinating corner of France.
We’ll welcome guests with a glass of Crémant and a few French cheese nibbles to set the mood for the afternoon!
