2018 Benoit Dehu "La Rue des Noyers" Brut Nature Champagne

Benoit Dehu farms in Fossoy, in the western Vallee de la Marne, where Meunier is the dominant grape. La Rue des Noyers is his single-parcel Meunier, farmed biodynamically, fermented and aged in barrel, and bottled with no dosage. It is a leading example of the grower movement's case for Meunier as a grape capable of serious, site-specific Champagne. Vinous and structured; pair it with food rather than serving it as an aperitif.
