About This Wine

For the fourth year in a row, we’re thrilled to host an intimate walk-around tasting celebrating some of the most exciting producers from Germany and Austria. This is a rare opportunity to taste through the newest releases from a curated group of estates defining the future of these regions, while meeting several producers in person and gaining direct insight into their vineyards, philosophies, and winemaking approaches.

As many of these wines are allocation-driven and imported based on demand, this tasting also serves as a key pre-arrival opportunity-offering early access to highly limited bottlings before they officially land in the U.S. market. A special additional table will also feature a selection of complementary Skurnik-imported wines from other standout producers, expanding the scope of what’s available to taste and pre-order.

This year’s featured producers include:

Weingut Berger – A benchmark estate for precision-farmed wines from the Kremstal, known for clean, focused Grüner Veltliner and Riesling that emphasize purity, freshness, and regional clarity.

Fio Wines – A dynamic Mosel project producing expressive, modern-leaning Rieslings that balance traditional slate-driven structure with a more open, textural style.

Heidi Schröck & Söhne – A historic Burgenland estate specializing in both whites and reds of great finesse; Heidi Schröck is known for her elegant, mineral-driven style, and her son Georg will be in attendance.

Weingut Hexamer – A Nahe specialist producing intensely aromatic, mineral-laced Rieslings ranging from bone-dry to subtly off-dry, with a signature balance of power and precision.

Weingut Knewitz – One of Rheinhessen’s rising stars, focused on site-transparent, energetic Rieslings and Silvaner with a modern, tension-driven profile.

Weingut Nikl – A respected Austrian estate (Kremstal) known for structured, terroir-focused Grüner Veltliner and Riesling with depth, clarity, and aging potential.

Weingut Bernhard Ott – One of Austria’s most iconic Grüner Veltliner producers, crafting biodynamically farmed wines that are textured, precise, and unmistakably site-driven.

Schlossgut Diel – A prestigious Nahe estate producing some of Germany’s most refined Rieslings, from vibrant entry-level wines to serious, age-worthy Grosses Gewächs bottlings.
